Murata Range has been a fan of vintage cars since he was a student. In his illustration work, the vintage texture of objects, the characters’ clothing and the design of decorations are carefully crafted, giving objects a strong presence in his work while showing his stylistic characteristics through the delineation of details. Apart from illustration, he is also interested in book design as well as events of the doujn culture. He has issued his own publication and works, and has expanded his creative work into fashion design, producing merchandise such as watch, coat, backpack and shoes.
